🎣 Destin Inshore Fishing Report – July Edition 🌞

The summer heat is cranking up here in Destin, and so is the inshore action!

With water temps rising, the redfish have pushed up into the docks, shade lines, and deeper structure. We’ve been catching some absolute brutes using live shrimp and saltwater crackers rigged on knocker rigs—a classic setup that’s been producing big results lately.

The morning bite has been 🔥, with consistent catches of mangrove snapper, whiting, speckled trout, and of course, slot redfish. Calm conditions and cooler temps have made early trips the sweet spot for action and comfort.

Afternoons have been a bit more hit or miss with the heat and boat traffic picking up, but I’m always happy to run a trip and grind it out to put fish in the boat. Every trip is different, and we’re still making it happen for afternoon anglers willing to roll with the conditions.

🎯 Pro Tip: Book a morning charter if you can—it’s your best shot at bent rods and steady action!

Tight lines,

Captain Josh
